Mothers and Toddlers

Every Tuesday during term-time. 9:30am to 11:30am.

This group is open to new-born babies and toddlers up to 3 years of age. There is a wide range of toys, puzzles and books available at this group. Our leaders prepare snacks and drinks for the children – and hot drinks and biscuits for their adults! We sing nursey rhymes and hold celebrations during seasonal holidays. The guardian stays with the child throughout this session, allowing both the children and the adults to bond and create friendships. During summer, Play in the Park replaces this group. There is a small fee of £2 to cover costs.

Play in the Park

10am –11. 30am Pontnewydd Park. Free

This group is aimed at families with babies and young children. We socialise in the park, making the most of the summer! Lots of our regulars from our term-time baby group join us in this group.

Who Let the Dads Out?

Saturdays – once a month

This monthly Baby & Toddler group is aimed at male family members or carers, and their child.  These sessions

are an ideal opportunity for conversation, witness, and fun.

A typical session includes play, a few songs and news about any upcoming events. This is followed by a prayer and snacks for the children. The adults get a mug of tea or coffee and a bacon buttie! There is a small admission charge of £2 to cover refreshment costs.

Pebbles

Every Thursday during term-time, 1pm to 3pm

In a similar style to our Tuesday Mother and Toddlers group, this group is appropriate to babies and toddlers. With loads of age-appropriate toys, jigsaw puzzles and books, children will have a great time. There is a short time of nursery rhymes and snacks.

There is a small fee of £2 to cover costs.

Groundbreakers

Every Thursday during term-time. 3:30pm to 5pm

Groundbreakers offers children aged 5 to 8 the opportunity to explore the Bible in a fun and welcoming environment. Using games, crafts, stories, snacks and songs, we aim to build the children’s understanding of what it means to follow Jesus. They get to know God in a child-friendly, interactive way. £1 per session.

Messy Church

Saturday Afternoon. Once a month. Free

Messy Church is an interactive, two-hour session presented in a child-friendly way. Messy Church aims to teach everyone a little bit more about Jesus and other Biblical figures. The sessions are jam-packed with craft, songs, snacks, quizzes and verse memory tests. Kids love these sessions because they are encouraged to be as creative and messy as possible! We have leaders to guide the crafts, although a family member or guardian is encouraged to stay with the children

J.A.M

Every Sunday. 11am until 12.15pm. Free

JAM is available for children aged 5 to 11. Running parallel to our main service, the children learn famous biblical stories through teaching, music, games, and interactive play.

We have two groups, with dedicated leaders. Our younger group is appropriate for toddlers to five-year-olds, whilst the older group is aimed at primary school-aged kids.

Adults can stay for the church service or children can be dropped off at RRBC from 10.45am and collected at 12.15pm. All leaders are DBS-checked.

Family Church

Sunday Morning, once a month. 11am

Sunday Inspired by Messy Church events, Family Church is a fun, interactive service aimed to appeal to every member of the family.

This service runs for an hour and we start the service all together. You then have the option to stay in the main church and listen to a short reflection, with a time for prayer and songs. Or, you can go into our connecting room to learn more about Jesus through craft. It’s completely up to you and you’re welcome to go in between both rooms at any point. There is something for everyone – and the crafts aren’t just for kids! We have tea and coffee after the service.
