Sunday 14th December 2014

Richmond Road Baptist Church is a warm and welcoming family church located in the village of Pontnewydd.  We seek to serve the community and share the love of Jesus with all.

There is something going on at the church almost every day of the week, because we believe that being a Christian is not just for Sundays but a 24/7 lifestyle. In everything we do and say, we desire to honour God and share His love with everyone. We don’t always get it right but we aim to please Him because we love Him.

All our activities can be found under ‘What’s On’ and every activity is open to everyone.

Our Sunday Services are at 11am and 6pm. You would be very welcome any Sunday, as we learn more about God’s love for us – how we can live in ways that please Him and how we can encourage each other, as well as love our world.

If you are thinking of joining us one Sunday and are wondering what to expect, here are some handy tips. When you arrive, you will be welcomed at the main door by one of our church members. You can sit anywhere, upstairs or downstairs. There are song books and Bibles in the book holder of every chair but we also project the songs on a screen and often use PowerPoint to keep people up to date with what’s going on and help with the service.

During the service itself, we sing a mixture of traditional and new songs, pray for our world, read the Bible and have a time to reflect on what we have read, as well as how it can impact our everyday lives.

Refreshments are served after every morning service.

We have an All-Age Service on the 2nd Sunday of the month.

We share Communion on the 1st Sunday of the month in the evening and the 3rd Sunday of the month in the morning. Here, we remember the sacrifice Jesus made for everyone on the cross. He died because He loves us and wants a relationship with us. He offers us His forgiveness. His body was broken and His blood was shed so that He might rise again and have victory over death, and we might have life everlasting.
