Enjoying afternoon tea at the Raspberry Tea Rooms!

Enjoying afternoon tea at the Raspberry Tea Rooms!

We are a group of ladies of all ages who meet on a Wednesday at 2pm.   We have a short devotional time followed by a guest speaker from various avenues of life, some Christian, some secular.

We had a variety of speakers this year, with such topics as Health & Well-being, Newport Workhouses, Organ donation and Pauline’s wonderful playing ‘ Name that Tune’, which was enjoyed by all. We also supported many charities amongst which are, Open Doors, Noah’s Ark and of course Mary’s Meals, for which we collected 89 rucksacks.

At the end of the service refreshments are provided, and there’s time for a chat and to catch up on news.

At the Open Doors tea party we were once again touched deeply by the testimonies of sisters and brothers around the world who face persecution and even death for daring to follow Jesus.

We thank God for the freedom to meet together in this way and that he will bless our plans for 2018.

Please feel free to come and join us, we always welcome new faces.
