We meet between 9:30am and 11:30am every Tuesday during term time and cater for the youngest babies & toddlers up to 3 years of age.
During 2017 the Tuesday Parent and Baby Group continued to see an increase in the number of children attending the session. By the end of the year the average number of children attending was thirty. Throughout the year more than sixty children attended.
Once again this year those attending involved themselves in the Samaritan’s Purse Shoe Box Appeal and an excellent number of filled boxes were given to the Appeal.
Some of the parents and toddlers have also started attending Messy Church quite regularly.
A Christmas celebration session was held on 12 December when 40 children attended. It was a very busy fun-filled morning. Everyone took part in the instant Nativity when the story of Jesus’ birth was told in a slightly less traditional form. Several Church members came to watch and support the children. After the Nativity Mother Christmas arrived, distributed gifts and books. The books had been kindly donated by Sainsburys plc. The session finished with a party meal of pizza, fruit, savouries and sweets.
We were very pleased to welcome Rebecca Derosaire on to the team during the year and sincere thanks go to the loyal team of volunteers, Mair & John, Marie, Dave T & Dave E, Susan, Jill & Rodney who give of their talents and time, engaging with the families and ensuring everyone has a fun morning.
Our prayer is that God will continue to bless all our efforts as we try to show His love to all attending the Toddler group and to shine His light in the wider community.
